I go through watches like women go through shoes. I have lost more money on buying Rolex and then later selling them than I care to remember. I've had Tag, Breitling, Citizen and Luminox. I think the Luminox and Citizen are the best watches going as far as Quartz watches go. This Invicta I just purchased is much nicer than I ever imagined. It looks as good as the 2 Rolex Submariners I've owned over the years, and better than the Omega Seamaster I had. I don't know how well it runs as I just got it. However, I read every review before I bought it. The money wasn't a factor - except I don't know how Invicta can make a watch this nice for under $300. That was the only thing that concerned me. In any event, as far as looks, this can't be beat. And I've dealt with Amazon a lot over the years and really enjoy their service. I've returned several items and they never give me a hard time. Based on looks, this Invicta is by far the best watch around.

Great looking watch. The strengths are discussed by many others on the web. The watch does have a few weak points. The hands are relatively narrow, the face does not have an anti reflective coating, and the center links on the watchband have a mirror finish which does show scratches. But I love the watch

Received my watch within a week. Considering it's a Swiss watch and automatic at that, the price is very reasonable.

This is my third Invicta watch - in all three, there has been something that prevents me from giving it five stars, for the 9937 it is Quality Control - again. The three items (so far) that detract from it, the bezel is a bear to turn - this is not a problem of scallop vs. coin edge - the mechanism itself is sticking. The second issue is the luminous dot on the bezel at the 60 minute marker - it is off center (am I picky, YES). The third (and hopefully final) issue is the winding stem - difficult to put back in and rethread - this may be something I just have not gotten use to yet, so I will give it a couple days before deciding if I need to send back to Amazon.
With such poor QC, why did I give it a 4 star review? The parts on this watch are awesome - I have never had so nice of a bracelet on watch before. The exhibition back showing the beauty of the movement (Sellita SW200) is too darn cool. Looking at this watch on the web does not do it justice. I have seen other Sub Homage watches before, but they have been for the most part either low quality and cheap or vary expensive (the one recommended to me was more than twice what I paid for this). If you get a good one, you will be happy - if you get a bad one and have to deal with customer service - it is not worth it... If it were not for the QC issue, this would be 5 stars. To be honest, if they fixed the quality control issues this really would be a $750 dollar watch - but considering I got for $215 w/ free shipping - I be happy.
My advice, if you buy ANY Invicta - do not remove the protective plastic, inspect the watch first. If it is an automatic, wind it and let it run a couple of days and check the timing. I have a Lupah with a fogged lens (inside) - and I have heard of other Invictas with the same problem - go out into the sun and look at the crystal from different angles. If seems good, then unwrap and be happy - otherwise send it back to Amazon. I have heard nothing but horror stories regarding Invicta CS - and why you should pay for shipping & handling to and from Invicta to have something fixed that should have been correct in the first place is beyond me.

OK so like a lot of guys I have always wanted a Rolex. My wife thinks I am nuts but there is something about a Rolex which is just unique. I do have an Omega which is beautiful but cannot justify the cost of even a used Rolex yet.
But the Submariner is a great looking watch and this Invicta could be it's twin. I originally had the less expensive clone of the 9937 with the Japanese movement. It was quite nice, but the braclet for example was a little tinny feeling compared to the Rolex (I have a relative who has a Rolex Submariner so I can compare the two closely).
I happened to read a review of this Swiss made Invicta Pro Diver and ordered it about a year ago, from Amazon I believe...my friend, there is no comparison. As has been mentioned elsewhere this is just a beautifully made watch, very well finished, extremely accurate for a manual movement. Quite honestly if you took the Invicta name off and put Rolex on it, I would imagine any Rolex owner would be happy with the quality of this watch. I know that sounds hard to believe but as I look at the watch right now, after being worn hundreds of times, it is still a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, very substantial clasp and braclet, great finish, no scratches on the crystal as of yet, keeps really good time, nice reserve so if you wear another watch for a day it is still running and keeping good time.
When you get this watch you will be astonished at how beautiful it looks. My only issue with Invicata is their marketing strategy...I know this sounds strange but their list prices are so much higher than the actual selling prices on the Internet and on Shop NBC for example that it makes their quality appear suspect. In fact they make a great watch. But, they have so many goofy styles out there (sorry but it's true) that they loose a little respect in the marketplace. Also, you don't see their products in retail stores very much, at least in the Chicago and New York area which is what I am familiar with. You would have to send the watch in for warranty repair but if the watch is out of warranty I am sure any competent watchmaker could fix this movement because it is a standard, well regarded Swiss movement.
So if you like the look of the Submariner and can't afford or don't care about the status of the name Rolex, give this a shot you will not be disappointed.
