"My watch came with a coin-type bezel?" 2009-12-20
By Pietro (CT, USA)
I just got my watch and, while it looks similar to the one in the picture, it's not exactly the same.

It does have:

1) the "8928" engraved on the case back

2) the same ASIN number "B000EIA0LW" on the cardboard box as shown on the product page.

But, it also has a coin-edge style bezel; the one in the picture is a scalloped design. I actually like the coin-type bezel more, but I'm unsure as to whether the picture on the product page is outdated and the coin style is being used now, or vice versa.

It also was missing the new plastic coverings that my other Invicta watches [I have a few others], as well as the usual polishing cloth. It had some finger-print like smudges on the crystals as well. It did have the "MSRP" tag, which had what appeared to be a coffee stain on it...so I concluded it might not have been a new watch. It is working and keeps excellent time [I wound it up manually, which you can do with the Miyota automatic movement on this watch...and I have it ticking away right next to my 2304 "bling" diver], so I decided to keep it.

The blue & gold colors on this watch complement each other nicely...I really like the combo...kind of like the Cub Scout colors I had on my uniform when I was a kid ;-).

The instructions might confuse some people, so here are the 3 positions you need to know for the crown once you unscrew it from its locked down position:

1) unscrewed, it can be manually wound, in one direction [clockwise}...20 to 30 half-turns seems to be good to get it through the night.

2) pulled out one small stop, the day can be advanced by turning the crown towards you.

3) pulled out one larger stop, the time is adjusted by turning the crown.

I will upload some pictures of my watch over the next few days so others can see what they *might* be getting...or might not...

"Great Watch! "POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE"" 2009-12-16
By P. Mageo
I love this watch. It works great, and looks fantastic. I get a lot of comments on the watch. But, Invicta Customer service is really poor. If you can get ahold of a live person you are lucky. I hope this watch does not have any problems in the future, because I know getting any kind of help, will be suspect.

 "Not Comfortable" 2009-12-01
By brett joseph (los angeles, ca)
I purchased the Japanese auto, coin bezel version a couple years ago. I really researched this company and read the reviews, etc. I was skeptical but went for it.

The bottom line is I don't wear it. It is heavy which is of course obvious, and owning "Tags" in the past, you do get use to this. But my main gripe is it is a bit PAINFUL to wear. The edges are fairly sharp, and really dig into my wrist. In fact I would say it hurts to wear it. I will sometimes wear it "out", but take it off and hand it to my wife to put in her purse. Maybe they could have spent just a little extra time on the design and rolled the edges, or something.

Now it looks really nice just like the Rolex. In fact from a few feet most people, including me, could not tell the difference. I could see why Rolex had an issue with this watch and the coin bezel.

As far as the time keeping goes. I really don't know about how accurate it is. First off I don't really care about that feature since I kinda tend to use my phone these days for that. Second I don't wear it long enough to know how well it keeps time. Third for $90.00 or so bucks I paid I don't expect precision.

One more thing. I believe the blue gold finish is a bit too soft on the bezel. I had it for a couple of days and got a BIG scratch on it. I swear I did not do anything abusive to it, in fact I was babying it since it was my new baby. ??

Looks good, but feels terrible! And I guess you get what you pay for.

Hope this helps.

You can not beat Invicta for the quality, beauty, and precise timekeeping. It looks like it cost from 5-10 times more than you paid for it.

Love it!!!
